Last week the NY Isladers decided to give up on defense and offense all together. By trading away two of their best players for a 35 year old NHL bicycle. Mike Comrie, and Chris Campoli were sent to Ottowa to help them on both sides of puck. In return the Islanders recieved Dean McAmmond. They also got a first round draft pick, but that is not enough medicine to stop this bleeding. I guess the Islanders just don't care anymore. Good for them.
GO RANGERS!
Thanks to
Schultz for the picture!
I agree with the fact that it was stupid for the Islanders to trade away Campoli & Comrie, simply because when they were on, they were ON and very good players. Yet, there is no reason to bash the Islanders. They have had a new coach this season and they have yet to find the perfect chemistry, it may take them a while but as they say PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE. We may suck right now, but hey, at least we are consistent. The Islanders DO care! Isles fans still have heart although it may be hurting. And as far as the Islanders employees go, KUDOS TO THEM for still selling tickets and making the coliseum go round on Saturday nights. I'm sure their sales representatives are working extra hard. Good things come to those who wait.
